A Sea Change can go horribly wrong......AVOID THE DISASTERS I bought a destination and ended up on a journey, spending nearly three years getting it wrong after moving from Prahran, an inner city Melbourne suburb to Daylesford, a very small tourist town in rural Victoria. I have become a sea change expert who has the knowledge and experience to help YOU get it right. I'll show you how to not do it hard like I did. 'Sea Change' or 'Tree Change' is a concept many are embracing, packing up and leaving the stress and hassle of the city and relocating their home and family to an idyllic lifestyle close to the sea or in the country. The picture conjured up by the recent success of the ABC Sea Change series is often a far cry from what really happens when settling into a small town. Avoid the pitfalls and get the success quickly. I've spoken about what can go wrong with sea changes on Channel 7's 'Today Tonight', Channel 9's 'The Today Show' and been featured in The Age 'Sunday Life Magazine' in a story about the dark side of the Australian dream, but there is still a lot the media have not revealed about my story. An unhappy seachange can be fraught with regret, loneliness, missing of friends and family and a need to find a whole new way of living. There is a huge need for support during the settling in period and after my disastrous first few years, I am now passionate about giving people the necessary knowledge to make the change and then supporting them through the tough first few months. Anyone brave enough to consider a sea change deserves it to be successful. You lower the odds of success if you don't have someone like me who can help you prepare, plan and gain reasonable expectations of your acceptance into the community.
